Love & Redemption – from Strauss to Parsifal | Katajala & Horn

Top tenor Tuomas Katajala and organist Tobias Horn, one of the leading German organists, come together in a unique concert evening at Musiikkitalo.

This exceptional programme leads the listener through the glow of Romanticism, spiritual depth, and the most intense moments of operatic drama. The refined songs of Richard Strauss, the meditative expression of Hendrik Andriessen, and the overwhelming power of Richard Wagner together create a compelling and unified dramatic arc.

The core of the evening’s organ artistry deepens through the poetic mysticism of César Franck and the virtuosic brilliance of Marcel Dupré. This music expands to the scale of cathedrals and elevates the listener toward pure transcendence.

The uniqueness of the evening emerges from a seamless dialogue, complemented by subtle theatricality and visual elements, making the concert a total work of art.

This is a rare opportunity to experience an intense and deeply moving encounter between two outstanding musicians.
